Yippee! Hooray! Wahoo! Yahoo! Whoop! Yeah! Alriiiighhhttt! Huzzah!… and all other exclamations of joy and jubilation….. I’M BACK!
Yesssssssssssssssss!
Approximately 3 weeks ago, this little nugget started sleeping through the night. Riiiiiight through the night. 7-7. And you know what? It felt as though I got my life back!
Out came the sewing machine, on continued the addiction to Pinterest and there I was…. reborn.
Yes, time is still a little on the short time. And yes, the sacred twelvetotwofifteen is now more like onefifteentotwofifteen…but hey, at least there’s an hour when they’re both napping. Gotta grab it when you can eh?!
And of course it means that there’s bits of fabric everywhere and threads getting stuck to everyone’s clothes (embarrassingly, I found one in Alfie’s nappy the other day….eeeekk!). The ironing board is constantly up…but it’s worth it because I feel a deep sense of renewal. And I really mean it…it’s ace!
So, the list is long of what I want to do, blog posts I want to write and new techniques to try. But I’ve got to be realistic. There’s 2 kids under 2 in our somewhat small apartment now. I tried doing some sewing when they were both up the other day….yeh….won’t be doing that again. Ever.
We’re in and amongst it all and life continues to be as colourful as ever. Our days are full of cuddles and crying and fun with friends….
…Molly is the Molly she’s always been…keeping us on our toes … She’s working on her ‘best’ smile…which goes like this:
…Alfie looks like this pretty much 99.9% of the time. Cue heart melt.
…We’re making new friends and the ‘family’ that we have here continues to grow. Beautiful little Alice celebrated her 3rd, but first New York birthday last weekend, so we celebrated her with beanbags in a purple bag. Has to be purple for Alice! 🙂
And of course, there was Thanksgiving! The most wonderful holiday ever! I have come to absolutely love it. This year we had an all British ensemble in our apartment. We stuffed our faces and drank gin. Oh yes.
In other news, in the ongoing endeavour to have a beautiful harmonious home at all times (PAH!!) I’ve attempted to implement the rule ‘Only one of you is allowed to cry at a time’.
Molly’s response to this new rule:
Alfie’s response to this new rule:
Yup. It’s that clear cut. You gotta love ’em!
Soooo incredibly good to be back, I can’t even tell you! And, as always….thanks for stopping by. x
LOVE it!!!!!! Xxxxxx
